How to copy or duplicate a post or page in WordPress?

Duplicating or copying posts or pages is not part of default WordPress functionality, so it has to be added using custom code, or by simply adding a plugin to your site. There are several plugins in the WordPress plugin repository which will enable functionality like this, we will take a closer look at the most popular one which is called Duplicate Post.

To be able to copy or duplicate posts or pages on your WordPress installation then please install the plugin and activate it. After activation you will see several new options added to the backend of your site:

  • Option to clone or create a new draft of pages or posts in list view
